How to complete a Canadian visitor visa application
This video shows how to complete a Canadian visitor visa application online, prepare supporting documents and transfer the information to the official IRCC Portal.
Create an account to save your application and supporting documents.
Start with your trip profile and answer a few questions to see a recommended document list. The final list is determined by IRCC.
Attach your documents. You can add several files to the same document type.
Click Transfer to application and the recognized data will be added to the application automatically.
In the full application, information from your trip profile and documents is already filled in.
Move between sections, use voice input for written answers and answer a follow-up question when an important detail is missing.

Is Canada Visa Assistant a visa agency or an official IRCC service?
No. It is an independent technical assistant and is not affiliated with IRCC or the Government of Canada. The service does not represent applicants before IRCC, provide immigration advice or guarantee a visa decision.
What exactly will Canada Visa Assistant do for me?
It helps prepare answers, extract relevant details from documents, find missing information and possible inconsistencies, combine and compress files, and transfer supported answers and documents to the IRCC Portal. You review the result, pay government fees and submit the application yourself.
Why do I need the browser extension?
The extension opens supported official IRCC Portal pages and transfers your prepared answers and files. It never clicks the final submission button: you see and review everything directly in the portal before submitting.
Can I complete the application in English?
Yes. The English version lets you prepare answers in English, including dictating longer responses. You can review and edit every answer before it is transferred to the IRCC Portal.
What happens to my documents after I upload them?
Files are kept in private storage and used only to prepare and transfer the application. They are not sold or used for advertising or profiling. You can delete an individual file, a whole document or all documents together with their prepared copies. Read the Privacy Policy.
How much does the service cost, and are IRCC fees separate?
Canada Visa Assistant is free during beta testing. Government fees are not included: IRCC calculates them, and you pay them separately when submitting the application.
